Dayson Johnson

Assistant Project Manager

Dayson Johnson is a third-generation home builder from Utah.  He spent most of his summers on jobsites as he grew up, learning tricks of the trade from a very young age and “sweeping more floors than anyone should ever sweep in a lifetime.” Through this exposure, he knew he always wanted to pursue a career in construction.

After graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in economics, Dayson helped to run Willowood Homes for over five years, working with clients to build custom homes worth up to a few million dollars. Working under his father, he was entrusted with reorganizing the management of the entire company–streamlining their processes and subsequent productivity–before taking over all company operations.

In 2017, Dayson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma; a type of blood cancer that affects lymph nodes throughout the body. He has undergone 12 chemotherapy treatments, and is now happily cancer free! Going through cancer treatment was pivotal in further developing Dayson’s drive and work ethic.  He decided to join the Magleby Construction team to align his career with a nationally recognized professional builder.

He now lives in Bluffdale with his wife and two young kids. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, he loves to do anything outdoors–hunting, golfing, playing tennis, or spending time in the mountains. He holds a real estate license and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in real estate and development.
