CNC Programmer
Job Summary
CNC Programmer translates CAD drawings into computer commands operating a 5-Axis CNC machine. Prepares and executes process, inspecting final product for consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately read shop drawings / plans
- Program CNC Machine
- Set up machine and select proper cutting tools to produce component outlined in program
- Perform test runs and make adjustments when necessary, ensuring 100% accuracy
- Supervise machine while operating to ensure design specifications are being met
- Inspect finished material for consistency / identify signs of wear and tear
- Inspect, maintenance and clean machine daily

- Completes other duties as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements
- 2 years CNC programming in a Millwork environment
- Mastercam, AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, WoodWOP experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues that may arise
- Strong mathematics ability

Hazards
May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder-actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud. Must follow all safety requirements carefully.
